SL & the NHL present: The Bruin!

The Bruin - designed by Wincraft!
Better than witchcraft
and yet just in time
for Halloween!

Is it a Grizzlor?
Is it a Werewolf?
No - it's a Bruin!

THE BRUIN!

Stan Lee presents it, too!
Just as he used to present
Man-Wolf, Man-Thing
and The Tomb of Dracula!
All the calls of the wild
(not the Minnesota Wild)
have been answered, I guess!
Just great...

So don't hesitate kiddos
and true believers
(especially those who believed
that the Bruins would win the Cup!)
- shop.nhl now!

  1. It is indeed (another) dream come true for all the fanboys out there - and not just for the Boston Bruins fans either - to see their favorite hockey team morph into an emblematic super-heroic avatar that embodies what their faves are all about! This is what the guardianproject did, in a nutshell, with the entire NHL roster indeed!

The fans get it all with this concept: they get their hockey tie-in, they get their super-hero fix and they get the intrinsic satisfaction to know that it is all so compatible... indeed.

For more, click on the appropriate link found in the post itself (not here; cause I'm too lazy all of a sudden to add it, here too...)

  2. Popular culture is seeing a return in force of the folktale, mixed in with a healthy or unhealthy (your choice) dose of urban legend and would-be modern mythology, these days...

All you have do is see the whipping up of some good old fairy tale magic served up on ABC this fall, as Once Upon A Time was served up as both the latest rehashing of such fare and further evidence that Hollywood, TV network executives and the like are bankrupt in the idea and creativity departments.

Go ahead - just click on the above link and see for yourselves what a mish-mash of recycled ideas can do, on a broader scale than the NHL-sponsored would-be myth-spurring "guardianproject" is attempting to do...

It is not a very good omen, though, that this "Once Upon A Time" stuff is already drawing comparisons, naturally, to that ill-fated mini-series from a decade ago that was so awful - "The 10th Kingdom".

It is amusing though to see it being linked to near-similar as assorted fare via the YouTube "loaded suggestions" program: through this, the recently-cancelled revamped (for the worst) Charlie's Angels show up. So do such shows as "Grimm" and The Secret Circle. Also of note are kins such as Suburgatory, The Future, Crank 3, the Alcatraz JJ Abrams series for Fox, and... Aquaman trailer for the WB (or CW)! And thus, right back to the superhero stuff we go...!

    Stan Lee would be proud...
The Bruin will watch it, too!
    I'm sure...
