The reign of Tuukka Rask has come to an end
It was riddled with many highs - but some crushing lows;
for each triumph (outlasting Lundquist in their duel;
vanquishing both Price and anyone that Toronto had in net;
dominating all competition during lengthy stretches...)
came a disappointment that seemed to undo it all:
the loss to Chicago in Game 6...
The debacle in Game 7 against St.Louis, most of all.
The writing was on the wall even as
this was announced:
Tuukka Rask Will Be "Cheap Goalie" For Boston Bruins (prohockeyrumors.com)
His overall performance is spectacular;
he ranks first among Bruins goalies
and in the top five league-wise
ALL-TIME...
But aside from MOOG, RASK is the only B on this list
who tallied so many playoff victories
without winning the Cup.
AND THAT... is what haunts him
Taints his record, too.
...being so close from cracking the TOP THREE (3) too
and bumping that traitor Ken Dryden
(who once could have/should have been a BRUIN)
That's gotta be a huge disappointment, also... but...
Thanks for everything else, Tuukka
...we're going through a rough stretch right now...
It's gonna get better!
THE FUTURE
IS SO
BRIGHT!
