FOR THE FIRST THREE GAMES,
THE OLD SEA DOG OF A SAILOR MAN
WAS NO MATCH FOR THE BEAR - really...
... just like we did against the CRAPITALS:
we did win - 2 out of 3!
But then, starting with game 4, that question
"who's there" - aimed at the Bruins, of course -
began to bear (no pun intended - really, NO)
a somber connotation... As the club was clearly not
the same that it had been during the first 8 games
it played in these playoffs at that point...
(Eight games and six of them were victories!)
ALAS... Games 4 and 5 were clearly
undermined by BAD REFEREEING.
NHL so-called "officials" were crappy
penalizing the Bruins for retaliating
but not punishing the Islanders for instigating!
This... was how the Islanders scored most of their goals.
ALAS... there were others factors as well.
The second line of Krejci, Hall and Smith
were not producing as much as they had
in the first round...
AND... Tuukka Rask.
He kept starting and playing
in spite of an injury...?!?
MY GOD...
They had the perfect solution
to prevail against both the
damnable (not seafaring at all) Islanders
AND the biased referees...
And it was to...
SWAYMAN had defeated the Islanders TWICE
at the end of the regular campaign -
giving the Bruins confidence that the early season
difficulties encountered against them
were only a damn FLUKE...
And the Bruins could BEAT them INDEED.
They certainly entered the series
and started that series that way;
with the decisive victory
that should have set the tone for the whole thing...
But that was without factoring in
league interference, via their corrupt zebras...
AND a torn ligament to their goaltender -
the one they are keen on using the most
because he is signed to the contract he is signed to...!
Thus, in the end, Swayman didn't start a single game - he could have come in and saved the day for Boston -
but he did not play anything more than a period
in a game that was already practically out of reach...
We needed two wins - he had had two, against them -
but,in the end, we did not even give one shot...
And Captain Highliner stole the series.
WITH TWO EMPTY-NET GOALS!!!
NIGHT (game 6...)
and DAY (game 1... duh)
